Jonathan Dillon

Vocals & Mandolin

Johnathan Dillon, a multi-instrumentalist from Wirtz, Virginia, began playing music at the age of seven, starting with the mandolin before mastering banjo, guitar, and bass. He led his own group, The Johnathan Dillon Band, for five years before joining Michelle Nixon & Drive, where he recorded the album *A Place I Belong*. In 2013, he became a full-time member of **Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice**, where he continues to shine more than a decade later. Influenced by greats like Dempsey Young, Adam Steffey, Doyle Lawson, Herschel Sizemore, and Dan Tyminski, Dillon’s tasteful picking and harmony vocals have become an integral part of the band’s signature sound. Beyond the stage, Johnathan is also the band’s longtime bus driver and mechanic—earning just as much praise for his reliability and friendship as for his musicianship. As Junior Sisk says, “John has always been there for me in every way. He’s my right-hand man; I couldn’t do this job without him, and wouldn’t want to!”
